Graphic Design Team Lead

In my last semester I was selected by my professors to be the leader of the graphic design team for EMERGE 2019, a multimedia capstone project for students to create three websites, one magazine, and ran eight independent events over the course of three months

  • Responsible for being the point of communication and direction for a team of eight graphic designers
  • Worked with my team members to create a brand guideline that included colour guides, fonts, textures and icons that were kept in an organized, cloud-based asset library
  • Delegated over 100 requests over 12 weeks for graphic designs from 20 other teams, ensuring that they were all quality designs with proper branding
  • Kept all related files in an organized, industry standard folder structure using Google Drive that was shared and used by the entire program - including professors, staff, and over 300 students
    • Personally fulfilled 10 of these requests along with my other responsiblities, including motion graphics for the website as well as the inside cover of the published and award-winning EMERGE 2019 print magazine.

Web Design Internship

During the summer of 2018 I participated in an internship in Germany at the University of Bremen’s Spatial Cognition Center. My main responsibilities were creating a website used to advertise educational video games that had been developed at the facility for improving cognitive skills. This was accomplished by:

  • Creating a two month plan that included daily and weekly goals that would lead to a fully functional website at the end of the internship
  • Developing assets for the website such as animated banners, infographics and trailers for the video games using a range of programs from the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creating branding guidelines for any future expansions to the website that included logo variations, do's and don't, and colour guides
  • Communicating with other members of the team as well as our supervisor on a regular basis in order to properly allocate duties to keep the project development streamlined
  • Testing games for bugs and giving creative input to game developers in order to keep branding consistent across platforms
  • Personally fulfilled 10 of these requests along with my other responsiblities, including motion graphics for the website as well as the inside cover of the published and award-winning EMERGE 2019 print magazine.
