Graphic Design Team Lead
During my graduating year of 2019, I was selected to be the lead of the Graphic Design Team. While in this position I managed a group of eight graphic designers tasked with the creation of over 100 unique graphics to be used for EMERGE 2019.
To Create A United Brand
In order to create a united brand my team worked to make a concept and outline. Using this we created a branding guideline document that was distributed throughout the various teams and referred to when created graphics and multimedia assets.
A complete and united multimedia experience
Thanks to the organized work from me and my fellow designers, as well as the strong teamwork and dedication that all the teams had as a whole towards EMERGE we were able to create a seamless experience ranging across all forms of mediums and platforms, traditional and cutting-edge.
Every part of EMERGE required customized designs that were requested of our team to keep a high level of consistency. These design requests were handmade by a team of eight graphic designers following proper EMERGE 2019 branding guidelines booklet, including colour scheme, typography, spacing, etc.
The EMERGE 2019 Branding Guidelines followed a PDF outlining the way to use the various aspects of the brand, and how not to use them. Along with the document there were links to cloud drives and files to help with the creation of multimedia assets.
WEBSITES
EMERGE 2019 had four unique websites: Events & Multimedia Projects, Web Magazine, and the EMERGE Media Awards, and the various EMERGE events.
MAGAZINE
The EMERGE 2019 Print Magazine had an individual design team, but worked closely with our team for consistency in branding and individual assets.
EVENTS
Over the course of three months EMERGE 2019 hosted eight individual events with separate themes and identities, all following the branding.

One Beautiful Printed Magazine
The print magazine for EMERGE 2019 had their own dedicated layout and design team that dealt with the majority of the album. My role with the print magazine was to offer guidance in branding and direct the creation of a list of visual assets for the magazine.
Two of those assets were the inside-covers of the magazine. The media program director indicated that they were to be used as ads. The first was for the University of Guelph-Humber's Media Studies program, the second for the multimedia website. I personally created the two ads using InDesign.
Six Engaging Experiences
Over the course of three months there were eight events hosted for EMERGE each with unique themes, united by the branding guidelines developed to encapsulate them. My team and I were responsible for the creation of all the designs and assets used for the events, from physical designs such as banners and posters to digital designs such as social media, projections, etc.
These events were:
