Multimedia Producer
My main role at Spatial Reasoning Games and the University of Bremen was as a multimedia producer. Our team worked to create the brand before splitting into our individual strengths. I was responsible for the creation of graphic assets, videos and certain written content to be included on the website. These ranged from infographs about the research done at the clinic to the trailers for the games themselves.
To Make The Brand Pop
My goal as the multimedia producer was to ensure that all of the content that I created popped off the screen and caught the attention of potential players. This started with creating a lively brand guideline, logos and assets, then moved into creating the graphic and trailers for the games for the website, social media and app storefronts.
A Fun Hub for Educational Games
By the end of the two-month long internship we had successfully developed a website that introduced Spatial Reasoning Games, explained the center's goals, and gave a preview for each of the three educational games.
The website has a total of six main pages. Three pages are focused on the University of Bremen and the Spatial Reasoning & Cognition Center, and the other three on the games, one page per game.
The website for Spatial Reasoning Games has continued to be updated by the internship program at the University of Bremen, however a live preview of the site at the time we had launched it can be found below.
BRANDING
Our team began by creating the brand of the website and series of games. After settling on the look of "Spatial Reasoning Games" we got to work.
WEBSITE
All of the information, research, and content of the games had to be hosted on one website that our team designed, built and populated.
VIDEOS
Each of the four games needed a unique trailer to display the game-play and purposes of the games for the website and app storefronts.
An Energetic Educational Game Company
The branding of Spatial Reasoning Games a team-effort, with each of the three of us working together to develop the identity. Once we had settled on the name, we picked enthusiastic colours and fonts, and decided on a logo after several attempts.
Once this was all set in place in a "branding document" I got to work creating profile photos and banners for social media, as well as several banners for the website to create a consistent feel.
An Easy-to-Use Website
The main goal for my time at the Spatial Reasoning & Cognition Center was to create a fully functional and easy-to-navigate website to host all of the games and related research information.
This website spanned 6 main pages for the bulk of the information and games, as well as several side-pages hosting documents, terms of service, etc. For a live clone of the website during its initial release click here.
Consistent Content & Visuals
Three Lively Trailers
During the two months at Spatial Reasoning Games I produced three trailers for the educational games that were featured on all of the social media, the website, and the store / app pages that the games were listed on.
In this game, Patchy the Pirate needs help getting his stolen treasure chests back by determining whether the chest presented on the right of the screen is the same as the one on the left of the screen, which was stolen from him.
Players click either “same” or “different,” but they can also select “help” before answering, which will either highlight a side visible on both chests, to show the player which side of the chest to focus on when determining whether they are the same or different.
